Mizuno Wave Inspire 9 review

September 5, 2015 by Runnerpro

The Mizuno Corporation has remained true to their corporate philosophy since they were founded in 1906 which in-part states their goal of “advancing sports through cutting edge technology and research.”

One of Mizuno’s products that meets this criteria is their newest version of Wave Inspire 9 running shoes.

Have you taken their sneakers for a test drive? If you want to give your feet an upgrade for this year’s training season: read this review, learn more about the Wave Inspire 9 running shoes, and see if this set of athletic foot gear is the right one for your workout needs.

Right amount of support

An important part of a running shoe is the amount of support in them. Support should not be too soft; neither should the it have a stiff sole. TheMizuno Inspire 9 is built to give support for moderate overpronators; that means those of us whose feet naturally turn inward a little.

The main area of support is on the medial side (inner portion) where it’s important to have extra support in the midsole. In the case of this pair of sneakers, Mizuno uses plastic plates that are inserted into the midsole that help correct the over pronation motion. This helps people with flat feet from putting too much pressure on certain areas of the foot and distributes the impact forces in a more balanced manner.

Lightweight

This version of the Wave Inspire are light as a feather. The lightweight, glove-like fit will make you forget you still have any footwear on. Some runners even do their errands running in their these because they feel so comfortable. The lighter weight can be attributed in part from the mesh upper, which also adds a comfortable airflow around your foot. They also removed a lot of the overlays that do contribute to the weight, essentially leaving you with the most important components.

Great colors

While foot support and stability are the most important elements of running shoes, great colors can be an additional plus to brighten your attitude, specially if looks are important to you. This is partially why Nike is such a great seller among the younger generation.

These pair come in several bright and bold colors for women (Zinnia, Malibu Blue, and Anthracite/Silver/Aruba Blue) and for men (Lime Punch, Malibu Blue/Blazing Yellow/Black, and Silver).

Smooth Ride Engineering

Mizuno’s Dynamotion fit creates a rocking-chair-like transition from heel to toe when you are running, giving you an excellent stride whether you are running for pleasure or competition. The Dynamotion fit moves easily through your stride and even helps to improve your stride.

While this pair of sneakers is ideal for road work where it cushions the impact of the pavement, it also works well for those working out on their home treadmills.

In picking out running gear, manufacturers and runners have now become so sophisticated that there are so many factors involved, including comfort, fit, support, traction, appearance, just to name a few. But if you want a good pair of running shoes for flat feet or overpronation this is a something that offers a roomy, durable and supportive feel.
